Barry Zaid

Illustrator, Graphic Designer

Born in Toronto, Canada in 1938, Barry Zaid began his artistic journey at Forest Hill Collegiate before immersing himself in Art & Archeology and Architecture at the University of Toronto. His talents emerged designing posters for the university theater and making costumes for a musical revue inspired by Art Deco Paris. In 1961, he ventured to London, working in advertising and later exploring Europe, especially Florence. Returning to Canada, she contributed illustrations to renowned publications and ventured into children's literature. By 1966, he had returned to London, leaving his mark in publications such as the London Times and Vogue. Not limited to print, he also designed posters for classical music concerts at the Royal Festival Hall, including Pink Floyd's iconic "Games In May" concert. Zaid's career exhibits boundless creativity and a dedication to artistic expression that continues to captivate audiences around the world.
