Dr. David Buchanan

Family Medicine

Dr. Buchanan is a Family Physician currently working at Lawndale Christian Health Center. He graduated as a physician from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, in Monterrey, Mexico, and completed his internship at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, before completing a residency program in Family Medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, W.V. Additionally, he earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Following his residency, he was in private practice for 10 years in East Chicago, IN, and has since worked for 25 years at Lawndale Christian Health Center. Both he and his wife, Maria Santos, are very involved in the church and the local community.

The talk will provide useful tools to improve digital health literacy and ensure safe and effective information seeking online.
